John,

I love the rosette. It is awesome.

May I make one comment. A purfling orginizer might come in handy. It is basically just a small piece of wood with about 1/8" (what's that 3mm?) holes drilled in it. Think of it as a comb. I feed the purflings through the holes to keep the strips "in order" when I am using a bunch of thin strips piled together as you bring them into into position.

Not that you seem to need any help, but sometimes we could use just one more hand, and this seem to help.
